Fifty-one families are currently benefiting from the parish food bank. The food bank started during the pandemic in response to the needs of the local community. It first opened its doors in January 2021 and now runs every two weeks on the second and last Saturday of the month.
This project was initially funded by an Islington Council grant, but it now stays open thanks to the generosity of our parishioners and an amazing team of volunteers who work tirelessly to make sure these families have some relief in their homes.
If you would like to help, there are several ways that you can support this project; you can pray for it, become a volunteer by contacting the parish office or you can contribute by making donations of non-perishable goods. You will find a box at the back of the church clearly marked for any donations, just pop your contribution into the box when attend mass.
