Marriage Week is an annual celebration aimed at promoting, supporting and strengthening marriage and family life. Each year it takes place from 7th February to 14th February. The theme for this year’s is “the joy of Love: On Marriage and Family Life”. On 19th March, 2026, as we celebrate the Feast of Saint Joseph, we will mark also the tenth anniversary of Pope Francis’ Post Synodal Apostolic Exhortation Amoris Laetitia – “On Love in the Family”. The Church in England and Wales invites us to reflect, once again, on the significant role of marriage and family life in the Church and the society.
The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales provides resources, guidance and care for catholic marriage, a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, rooted in God’s love and ordered towards the good of the spouses and the nurturing of the family.
May the light, love and healing touch of God accompany the married in their faith and commitments, and renew the love of those who care in different ways for children and families in this world.
